Basic Function: This position combines duty elements of the following Units within the Consular Section: Immigrant Visa, Non-Immigrant Visa, American Citizen Services, Fraud Prevention. and Administrative Assistant. The incumbent is responsible for aiding of all the Units of the Consular Section, in order to give full support to every and any team as needed. Accepts and reviews applications for immigrant visa cases. In assisting consular officers, the incumbent confirms that the biographic information on the electronic visa application Is correct, captures biometric fingerprints and photographs, ensures that all applicable fees have been paid, verifies the 1dent1ty of the applicant, reviews all documentation presented by the applicant to ensure that is complete and accurate based on the policy and regulations provided on Chapter 9 of the Foreign Affairs Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
Employment Length: Indefinite subject to successful completion of probationary period.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) year experience in customer service and administrative experience is required.
Education: Two (2) years of college or university studies are required.
Language: Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing in English is required. Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing in Spanish is required. (This may be tested)
Job Knowledge: Familiarity with legal Honduran documentation commonly encountered in consular operations (civil and court documents) is required. The employees are expected to have great working knowledge of basic Microsoft suits and to process large amounts of data, with top quality and accurateness.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service skills are required.
