Descripción

Location: Soto Cano Air Base, Comayagua, Honduras 
Open: August 10, 2026 | Close: August 14, 2026 (midnight) Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week | Telework: Not eligible Open To: All applicants legally eligible to work in Honduras (no visa sponsorship)

Major Duties:

  • Manages and coordinates submission of all awards/decorations within JTF-Bravo's area of responsibility
  • Ensures award submissions meet quality/timeliness standards; provides reach-back support to USSOUTHCOM Awards Section
  • Stays current on military/civilian awards program guidance
  • Develops and implements JTF-B Awards SOPs; updates policy as needed
  • Liaises with USSOUTHCOM, ARSOUTH, AFSOUTH, MARFORSOUTH, and JTF-B Protocol on award presentations
  • Ensures J1 directorate compliance with Government Purchase Card regulations (FAR and contracting office guidance)

Qualifications (must meet A, B, or C):

  • A. Experience: 1 year specialized experience in administrative procedures/policies related to awards
  • B. Education: 1.5 years post-high school education in a related field (business/office/administrative management) may substitute for experience (transcripts required)
  • C. Combination: Partial experience + partial education equaling 100% (see calculation method in full announcement)

Additional Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of administrative/filing procedures, official correspondence, and computers
  • Knowledge of military courtesies and protocols
  • Typing: 40 WPM preferred (Level II)
  • Valid Honduran driver's license required
  • Tact and diplomacy required (customer-facing role)
  • Must obtain/maintain local Tier 1 background investigation
  • Language: Fluent English and Spanish (Level 4) required; must translate host-country language into precise English; may serve as interpreter; tested during evaluation

Evaluation: Applicants evaluated against stated qualifications; may include pre-employment language/skills test. Applications must address all listed qualifications or will be disqualified.
