Position Summary
The U.S. Mission in Honduras is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Community Manager and Digital Production Coordinator (Strategic Content Coordination Assistant) in the Public Affairs Section. The incumbent manages the Mission's social media and website, engages online communities, and produces visual and multimedia content.
Key Responsibilities
Hosts daily online conversations and manages the Mission's social media and website.
Creates and edits video, audio, graphics, photos, and other multimedia content using Adobe Creative Suite.
Conducts on-camera interviews with contacts ranging from students to senior officials.
Uses analytics to track reach and sentiment and to tailor content to audiences.
Plans editorial calendars and online campaigns at least six months in advance.
Trains Mission staff on content creation and digital platforms.
Required Qualifications
Option 1:
Education: University degree in communications, business, marketing, or related major.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in a multilingual, multicultural, or multinational organization, including market research, audience analysis, online campaigns, managing digital properties, and multimedia content creation.
Option 2:
Education: Two years of college or university studies (any field).
Experience: Five (5) years of the experience described in Option 1.
Language Skills (may be tested):
English: Fluent; speaking, reading, and writing (may include ability to translate).
Spanish: Fluent; speaking, reading, and writing (may include ability to translate).
Technical Skills:
Audiovisual production and graphic design applications
Audience analysis and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Google)
Managing multiple social media platforms at once
Microsoft Word and Excel
Other Requirements:
All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security certificate.
All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
