Open to: US Citizens with lawfully admitted permanent residence in Honduras.

Basic Function: This position provides cleared escort services throughout the Embassy’s secured areas and basic administrative clerical support to offices within the Embassy as assigned. Assignment or rotation is generally required due to secured escort requirement, clerical staffing gap, or short-term spikes in basic administrative workload.  Due to the nature of the duties and the demand fluctuation, the incumbent may work on regular (part-time) or intermittent/irregular (a when actually employed) basis. The incumbent must obtain and hold a Secret Clearance.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year office or administrative work experience is required.

Education: Completion of High School is required.

Language: Good working Knowledge reading/writing/speaking English is required. (This may be tested) 

Job Knowledge: Knowledge of office management and core administrative processes. Comfortable with computer use including email and the internet. Working knowledge of basic software packages (MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and required formats to recognize and correct such errors in correspondence, reports, and memos.

Skills and Abilities: Understanding of the importance of customer care, and the principles of confidentiality. Ability to use computer and basic software skills. Escorting duties may include visiting less secured areas, such as roof or confined space that may cause falling hazard.  Ability to lift a maximum of 51 lbs. (23kg) under Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
