The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation (PCF) is a unique Swiss non-profit organisation based in Trogen, Switzerland. We are committed to create access to quality education for all children and young people in Switzerland and worldwide in 11 countries. The implementation of the Convention of the Rights of the Child forms the framework of our projects. The Children’s Village is a place of encounter and the heart of our foundation.

In Honduras, PCF has an office based in Tegucigalpa with three staff members and works with up to three local partner organisation, which are responsible for implementing the projects.

You find
  • Lead the financial management, accounting and reporting of the Country Office Honduras
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, financial reporting and cash flow in close collaboration with PCF Headquarters
  • Monitor and control PCF-funded projects, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, budgets and internal policies
  • Strengthening financial systems, internal controls and support internal and external annual audits
  • Build the financial management capacity of operational partners through coaching and technical support
  • Oversee payroll, statutory reporting, procurement and office administration
  • Ensure compliance with national legislation, fiscal obligations in Honduras, and PCF policies while supporting the Country Representative in all financial and administrative matters
You bring
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, together with substantial experience in finance and administration within the NGO or international development sector
  • Proven expertise in financial management, budgeting, accounting, reporting, internal controls and donor compliance
  • Experience monitoring grants and strengthening the financial management capacity of operational partners
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting systems and MS Office, and sound knowledge of national financial, tax and labour regulations
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English
  • A reliable, proactive and collaborative working style with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership
