Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Honduras and direct supervision of the CVAC Team Leader; and, in collaboration with relevant units at HQ and the Administrative Centres, the Human Resources Officer will be responsible and accountable for managing the resourses management functions in Sub-Office Tegucigalpa.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Provide excellent customer service to applicants as part of the contractual requirements by complying with the IRCC Statement of Work and its respective service standards.
2. Support the delivery of information to clients due to the importance of providing the most accurate and up-to-date information possible, informing clients of any changes in visa requirements or application procedures.
3. Capture applicant data accurately and maintain a high level of expertise when using the software platform provided for CANVAC.
4. Immediately inform management of any issues related to their daily work so that they can promptly address any necessary issues and regularly provide suggestions on how to improve service effectiveness.
5. Positively accept constructive feedback for the sake of thorough understanding of the processes, following established instructions, procedures, and policies.
6. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports in compliance with established policies following the guidelines provided by IRCC, GVA, and VFS.
Required Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATION
- High school graduate.
- College or university degree will be considered an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in customer service and immigration processes.
SKILLS
- Good knowledge of standard office information technology tools and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy when performing duties;
- Excellent computer skills, specifically with MS Office.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Ability to multitask.
Languages
REQUIRED: For this position, fluency in Spanish and English are required (oral and written).
DESIRABLE: French
