Founded in 2010, Ara Macao Group is an educational company that brings together two schools, one bilingual and one in Spanish.

The Bilingual School is in Colonia Cerro Grande, and it is a day school for preschool through 10th grade, with a current enrollment of more than 200 students.

Our goal is to provide students with a bilingual education of quality and prepare the country with men and women ready to face the challenges of their generation.

Position Overview
Ara Macao School is looking for an elementary-level Language Arts teacher responsible for teaching English language and literacy skills to young learners.

• Expected Start Date: February 3rd, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Teaching Hours: 30
• Grade Levels: Elementary (Grades 4th–6th)
• Contract Length: 10 months
• Number of Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that enhance reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

• Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback through homework, projects, and exams.

• Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.

• Participate in school events and collaborate with staff and administrators to promote student development.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, English, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Possession of a valid teaching certification (as appropriate).

• At least one (1) year of successful teaching experience (including student teaching internships).

• Strong command of English and experience teaching literacy skills to elementary-level students.

• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.

• Understanding of and commitment to company values.

• Papers in order (IMPREMA, Escalafón, etc.).

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Proficiency in Office 360, internet, and social media tools.

• Familiarity with educational platforms is a plus.
