About the Company

Founded in 2010, Ara Macao Group is an educational company that brings together two schools, one bilingual and one in Spanish.

The Bilingual School is in Colonia Cerro Grande, and it is a day school for preschool through 11th grade, with a current enrollment of more than 200 students.

Our goal is to provide students with a bilingual education of quality and prepare the country with men and women ready to face the challenges of their generation.

Position Overview

Ara Macao School is looking for a middle school and high school math teacher responsible for teaching mathematics to grades 7th–11th.

· Expected Start Date: February 3rd, 2025.

· Estimated Weekly Teaching Hours: 30

· Age Range of Students: Grade 7th–10th

· Contract Length: 10 months

· Number of Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

· Plan course material and activities, and assess students’ progress (e.g., homework, exam grades, etc.).

· Keep attendance records.

· Plan and participate in school events.

· Provide students with competition training.

· Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to ensure a positive student experience.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field from an accredited college or university. Possession of a valid teaching certification (as appropriate).

· A minimum of one (1) year of successful teaching experience (including student teaching internships).

· The candidate’s previous work experience and education must be related to teaching math.

· Strong command of grade/subject-specific content and theoretical knowledge of learning theory, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques.

· Understanding of and commitment to company values.

· Papers in order (IMPREMA, Escalafón, etc.).

· Excellent communication and leadership skills.

· Knowledge of Office 360, internet, and social media.

· Knowledge of educational platforms.
