  1. USAID Project Management Specialist (Migration Technical & Learning)

The USAID Project Management Specialist (Migration Technical and Learning) is part of the Program Office’s (PO’s) Migration Team and serves as a technical specialist and learning advisor in the fields of migration, reintegration and repatriation (MRR). In his/her role as technical specialist, the incumbent is the Agreement Officer’s Representative (AOR) for the Mission’s bilateral migration activity; the Alternate Activity Manger for Honduras programming under the regional migration activity; and an Activity Manger for the Mission’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) contract. If needed, the incumbent may serve as the Alternate Contracting Officer’s Representative for the Mission-wide MEL contract. In his/her role as the Mission’s senior MRR learning advisor, the incumbent advises the Mission staff on a range of MRR issues, concepts, trends and learning to support the achievement of the MRR-related objectives in the Mission’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS), and in the design and implementation of new and ongoing development activities. 

 

The incumbent contributes to reporting against the Mission’s progress in implementing USAID’s sections of the U.S. Government’s Root Causes and Collaborative Migration Management Strategies and supports the Mission in meeting other regular and ad hoc reporting requirements related to migration programming. The incumbent leads MRR data management, analysis and dissemination for decision-making. The incumbent also leads Mission working group(s) related to migration-related learning and adapting. Internally, the incumbent liaises closely with the Program Office Director, Migration team colleagues, the Mission’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Geospatial Information System (GIS specialists, and Technical Office Staff. Externally, the incumbent

establishes productive relationships with a wide-range of individuals focused on MRR topics, including

USAID/Washington and interagency colleagues, donor representatives, Government of Honduras (GOH)

officials, and staff at universities, think tanks and other research institutions. 

 

The USAID Project Management Specialist (Migration Technical & Learning) reports directly to the

Migration Team Lead of the PO or designee.
